The AI model
Europe
deserves.

Talos is a sovereign language model for regulated industries and the product teams building for them. OpenAI-compatible, fully auditable, and hosted exclusively within the EU.

European AI, on European Terms

The only AI model your legal team will actually approve.

Most AI infrastructure, even when hosted in Europe, remains subject to foreign law. Data stored by non-EU companies can be compelled by foreign governments regardless of where servers are located. Ablatic is an EU company and we're running on EU infrastructure, with full legal protection under EU law, at every stage of the model lifecycle.

01

No foreign data jurisdiction

Infrastructure runs exclusively in EU data centres. Part of our inference capacity is even hosted in Austria. No sub-processors outside the EU. No CLOUD Act exposure. No US hyperscaler in the stack. No legal exposure to foreign surveillance legislation, at any stage.

02

GDPR-native architecture

You control retention. Prompts and responses can run with zero storage and immediate deletion if you want to. We never train on your prompts or outputs! Audit logs record each processing operation, not its content, giving your compliance team a verifiable trail without keeping anything you send.

03

EU AI Act conform

High-risk system documentation, human oversight controls and full traceability in place. We meet the requirements before they're enforced, so you don't have to scramble.

04

Glass-box reasoning

Every response includes an exposed reasoning trace. Your compliance team can audit what the model did and why. No black boxes, no silent failures, no guessing.

05

Priced for enterprise reality

Flexible billing, agreed per customer: classic per-token pricing, or a flat rate for unlimited usage capped only by rate limits. No minimum spend, no lock-in.

06

Agentic task completion

Tool use, web search, code execution and multi-step document workflows. Talos completes complex autonomous tasks with reliable, auditable, traceable results.

07

Built for the teams that build products

OpenAI-compatible API, drop-in ready. Billed your way: per token or a flat unlimited rate, no minimum spend, no lock-in. If you're building AI into products for regulated-industry customers, Talos gives your stack a clean compliance story without switching infrastructure.

The third option

Today you pick two out of three. Talos gives you all three.

Most teams start by self-hosting a model in-house. On paper it's full control. In practice it's a relentless infrastructure and ops burden that's rarely sustainable, and you stay capped by whatever you can run. Of the options that remain, each forces a trade-off: EU-hosted alternatives keep your data in Europe but trail on capability, and often carry foreign capital that has a seat at the table. US frontier models lead on capability but are expensive, and your data sits under foreign jurisdiction. We built the option that refuses all of it.

Categories, not specific products. CLOUD Act exposure depends on corporate ownership and hosting arrangements, not server location alone, which is exactly why location-only claims fall short.

Who it's for

Built for two kinds of teams.

Regulated enterprises

When compliance is a procurement requirement.

Legal, finance, healthcare and the public sector can't put data under foreign jurisdiction. With a US model in the backend, the CLOUD Act is a structural argument against you, regardless of server region. Talos removes that argument entirely.

Ship AI features without inheriting a jurisdiction problem.

Drop-in OpenAI-compatible API, billed your way: per token or a flat unlimited rate. If you build for regulated-industry customers, Talos hands your whole stack a clean compliance story, without changing a line of integration code.

Where Talos runs

Hosted across Europe. Part of it in Austria.

Every inference request stays inside the EU, across data centres in multiple member states, with a share of capacity running right here in Austria. No US hyperscaler in the path, no sub-processors outside the Union.

Why it works economically

Comparable quality, at a price that actually fits an API budget.

A new model architecture lets Talos serve inference more efficiently than comparable providers, so you get strong quality on the things most API calls actually need, without frontier-model pricing.

01

Efficient by architecture

A novel architecture cuts the cost of each inference, letting us offer competitive quality well below frontier-model pricing.

02

Strong where it matters

European languages, text generation, research, tool calling and agentic tasks: the workloads that make up the bulk of real API traffic.

03

Coding, right-sized

Talos codes well enough for the agentic work that needs it, but we deliberately don't chase the frontier coding crown. We can't out-build it, and we don't need to: roughly 90% of API calls never required that horsepower in the first place.

#1

Not the first European AI model. The best one. Talos is the most capable, most transparent and most legally sound model Europe has ever produced, and we built it in Linz.

Who we are

Two founders from Linz, building for Europe.

Founded as a spinoff at the Open Innovation Center of Johannes Kepler University Linz, we are two researchers who decided Europe needed its own frontier AI model - trained on European infrastructure, operated under EU law.

Training compute is funded through public EU infrastructure: EuroHPC joint undertaking and regional European data centres, not venture capital. We build for customers, not investors.

From architecture to fine-tuning, serving and safety, we manage the complete model lifecycle in Europe. No compromise on where your data goes.

Questions buyers actually ask.

Where exactly is Talos hosted?+

Exclusively in EU data centres across several member states, with part of our inference capacity running in Austria. No US hyperscalers, and no sub-processors outside the Union.

What happens to our data after a request?+

You decide. Prompts and responses can run with zero storage and immediate deletion on request, and we never train on your data. Audit logs record each processing operation, not its content, so your compliance team can verify it.

Does the US CLOUD Act apply to our data?+

No. Ablatic is an EU company running on EU infrastructure under EU ownership. There is no US entity in the chain that the CLOUD Act could compel, which is not something a US model can offer, even when hosted in Frankfurt.

Will it fit our existing stack?+

Yes. Talos exposes an OpenAI-compatible API, so it's a drop-in replacement: point your base URL at Talos and keep your existing integration code.

How is pricing structured?+

We agree pricing individually with each company. It depends on your usage and we stay flexible. In practice it comes down to two models: classic token-based billing, or a flat rate for unlimited usage capped only by rate limits. No minimum spend, no lock-in.
We're also seeing growing demand for custom fine-tuning and single-tenant instances dedicated to a single customer. We can't take that on for everyone, and it needs lead time to set up given the workload, but ask, and we'll see what's possible.

When can we start?+
